RECENT WORK: MAR-APR Norway-Heroes of Telemark
This spring, writer Colin Field and I travelled to Norway for SBC Skier magazine in search of the origins of modern freeriding.
I'll be the first to admit we got sidetracked en route. While dodging the tab for $14 beers, we did manage to find the quintessential images of old wooden skis and Lillehamer sweaters that form the history of the sport we love.
But most of our time was spent actually exploring the modern powder pleasures that Norway has to offer.
From a spa boat in the Lyngen Alps, to a secret ski tram tunnel in Telemark, to roof jumping in Morgedal, to the fjords of Sunnmøre, here is a bit of what we found in Norway in our search for the Heroes of Telemark.
